Here is the latest video market report from the Greater Vancouver Real Estate Board's President Dan Morrison. While we often hear in the news that the sky is falling keep in mind that newspapers and journalists' main job is to sensationalize our real estate market, increase viewer ratings and sell advertising and/or newspapers. In fact, the sky is not falling. Sales for higher priced detached homes are down slightly but are in line with long term sales stats. The market is still up 30-35% from last year and we are seeing a lot of action in the $500,000 to $1.5 million range, especially with condos and townhomes. This video is not exactly riveting so make sure you pour yourself a strong mug of java before watching. If you want the real scoop on what is happening in the market watch it here now and speak with a real estate agent rather than read/watch it in the news. For more insight on the market in your specific neighbourhood be sure to call or text me at 604-616-2678. It would be a pleasure to have that conversation with you.
